On Sunday, September 10, the intense match between India vs. Pakistan will take place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. However, it is important to note that the match has a serious rain threat, which could upset the Asia Cup 2023 match.
Notably, the group stage match between the bitter rivals was postponed because of heavy rain in Kandy at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. According to ‘Accuweather’ weather forecasts, it will be cloudy with a few thunderstorms during the day as the Super Four match starts at 3:00 PM local time (and IST).

The probability of cloud cover is 96%, while the probability of humidity is 84%. The afternoon is expected to see wind gusts of up to 41 km/h and winds coming from the south-west at a speed of 20 km/h. The probability of precipitation increases as the evening progresses, reaching 96% with 100% cloud cover.
Similar to how “BBC Weather” does, it forecasts a 47% chance of precipitation in the afternoon, which increases in the latter half of the evening. The match will almost certainly be called off due to the rain gods intervening on the game day, according to weather forecasts.
November 11 is Reserve Day.
The contest will resume on the backup day if it is interrupted on the designated day for some reason. In order to accommodate the unversed, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) received approval for a reserve day to be set aside for the India-Pakistan match from the boards of all four teams competing in the Super Four.
Notably, the match authorities have the option to extend the game by 90 minutes on the actual game day; however, in the event that the match is not finished on Sunday, it will restart on Monday and pick up where it left off.
