The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated in an official release that Kuldeep Sen and Deepak Chahar will not be able to participate in the third one-day international match that is being played against Bangladesh because of injuries to Kuldeep Sen and Rohit Sharma’s thumb. Rohit Sharma is the captain of the Indian cricket team.
While fielding in the second over of the second one-day international (ODI), India captain Rohit Sharma received a blow to his thumb.
His condition was evaluated by the BCCI Medical Team, and he underwent scans at a local hospital in Dhaka. He then flew to Mumbai for specialist advice, and as a result, he won’t be able to play in the last ODI.
According to the notification from the BCCI, a decision will be made regarding his availability for the forthcoming test series later on.
“Fast bowler Kuldeep Sen complained of stiffness in his back after the first one-day international, and after the BCCI Medical Team evaluated him, they suggested him to rest from the second one-day international.”
Kuldeep has been diagnosed with a stress injury and will not be able to participate in the series. Deepak Chahar, another fast bowler, suffered a left hamstring strain during the second one-day international and will not be able to participate in the series.
Both Kuldeep and Deepak will now report to the NCA so that their injuries can be further evaluated and treated there.
According to another part of the press release, “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has added Kuldeep Yadav to India’s team for the third and final One-Day International.”
