In Wednesday, Manipur medium bowler Pheiroijam Singh, who is only sixteen years old, became the fourth Indian to collect nine wickets on his first-class debut. This accomplishment took place during Manipur’s Ranji Trophy plate group encounter against Sikkim, which took place near Rangpo.

Sikkim, on the other side, got the upper hand and was able to take a narrow first innings lead while also bringing Manipur’s score down to 59/4 before stumps on day two. Across the board, Manipur is in the lead by only 25 runs with six wickets remaining.
Sumit Singh came back with the figures of 3/23 as the Manipur batters were having trouble getting a partnership started.
