In the second game of the three-game series, India and Bangladesh resumed their ongoing Twenty20 International series. India lost the toss and elected to bat first when the two teams squared up at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 9.
Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma opened the home team’s innings with scores of 10 and 15, respectively. Captain Suryakumar Yadav also left early, having scored just eight runs, as the openers failed to score heavily.
After a rocky start, Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy’s strikes steadied India’s innings. In 34 deliveries, Reddy scored 74 runs, while Rinku Singh scored 53 runs in 29 deliveries. Additionally, Hardik Pandya, the elite all-rounder, performed admirably at the bat.
India amassed a total of 221 runs in the game’s first innings thanks to the all-rounder’s 32 runs in 19 deliveries and Riyan Parag’s 15 further runs.
Rishad Hossain of Bangladesh took the most wickets with three to his credit. Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib all claimed two wickets apiece.
With outstanding bowling, India wins the T20I series.
Parvez Hossain Emon and Litton Das opened the Bangladeshi innings with 16 and 14 runs, respectively, as they looked to chase down a target of 222 runs. Towhid Hridoy and Najmul Hossain Shanto scored two and eleven runs, respectively, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz added sixteen runs to the score.
India’s bowling assault was superb in eliminating Bangladesh’s hitters and winning the series. Mahmudullah scored 41 runs in 39 deliveries to lead the visitors’ second-inning scoring efforts.
