Australie In the last Twenty20 International match, held on August 11 at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, a women’s team defeated India A with a convincing 3-0 series victory. The hosts won convincingly by seven wickets thanks to Tahlia McGrath’s disciplined bowling and batting.
Captain Tahlia McGrath of Australia A won the toss and chose to field to start the game.
Tayla Vlaeminck and the other Australian bowlers successfully pressured the Indian batting order right away, demonstrating the value of the decision. Shubha Satheesh was dismissed for a duck in the opening over thanks to Vlaeminck’s frugal spell of 1/6.
India A’s batting woes persisted as they were unable to form partnerships. The visitors were held to 47/5 by the 13th over thanks to the efforts of Grace Parsons (2/18), Maitlan Brown (2/19), and Nicola Hancock (2/40). India A managed to score a respectable total of 120/8 in the 20 overs permitted, thanks in part to a partnership between Kiran Navgire (38 off 20) and captain Minnu Mani (22 off 23).
As a result, the hosts’ chase got off to a fast start, with Tahlia Wilson (39 off 26) establishing the standard early. The hosts never appeared worried, even when they lost a few wickets. In the previous game, Tahlia McGrath demonstrated her excellent form by smashing an undefeated 51 off just 22 deliveries. With 37 balls remaining, Australia A easily defeated South Africa by seven wickets thanks to her eight fours and two sixes during her innings.
India A and Australia A will now play an ODI match.
Both teams will play each other in a three-match ODI series once the T20I series concludes. Interestingly, the premiere date of the series is August 14. Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay is the designated venue for all of the planned matches.
