T20 World Cup 2024: Notable players left off of the Netherlands’ massive team

The Netherlands has revealed their team for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, and it is young and experienced. Rising stars like seamer Kyle Klein, left-arm spinner Tim Pringle, and explosive opener Michael Levitt have replaced the experienced veterans Roelof van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann. Levitt merited a berth in the squad after his brilliant century against Namibia earlier this year, when he hit 135 runs off just 62 balls.

As a wicketkeeper-batter, Scott Edwards will continue to guide the team, while Bas de Leede is another important member of the starting eleven. The Dutch squad wants to leave their imprint on the competition. They will play South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal in the group stages.

At Dallas’ Grand Prairie Stadium on June 4, they will play their first game of the campaign against Nepal.
