On Saturday, June 15, at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, Team Nepal (NEP) and South Africa (SA) will play in the 31st match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.
The team captained by Rohit Paudel was defeated by six wickets in their tournament opener against the Netherlands. Unfortunately, severe weather forced the cancellation of their most recent match versus Sri Lanka, the defending champions. Nepal will aim to provide a significant upset to the Proteas with the return of their renowned leg spinner, Sandeep Lamichhane.
Conversely, the upcoming encounter will be Aiden Markram and his team’s fourth outing of the competition. After winning their last three games, the African team defeated Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Sri Lanka. Now that South Africa has advanced to the Super Eight round, they can adjust their starting lineup to allow the players sitting on the bench additional playing time.
