Papua New Guinea, captained by Asad Vala, has lost their last four games, including two exhibition matches against Namibia and Oman. They took on the former champions West Indies in their opening match, losing by five wickets after being unable to hold on to their 136-run total.
PNG’s batting performance was poor as they were bowled out for just 77 runs in their most recent match against Uganda. Uganda was won by three wickets after effectively chasing down the goal in reply.
