England (ENG) and Namibia (NAM) faced off to continue their current 2024 T20 World Cup campaign. The 34th match of the tournament took place on Saturday, June 15, at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. After losing the toss, England elected to bat first to start the match. With openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler out for 11 and zero runs, respectively, the three Lions were off to a poor start.

Along with Harry Brook, who scored 47* runs in 20 deliveries, Jonny Bairstow scored 31 runs. Moreover, England amassed 122 runs in the opening half of the match thanks to the scores of Moeen Ali (16) and Liam Livingstone (13).
With two wickets to his credit, Ruben Trumpelmann led the Namibian team in wickets taken. Namibia kept England to a chaseable target thanks to wickets taken by David Wiese and Bernard Scholtz, apiece.
Namibia had a poor start to the second innings as they attempted to chase down the mark. Nikolaas Davin and Michael van Lingen, the openers, scored 18 and 33 runs, respectively. Alongside captain Gerhard Erasmus, who did not lose by a single run, David Wiese scored 27 runs in 12 deliveries.
Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan took one wicket apiece, making up England’s sole two wicket-takers. It was not able to play the entire game because of the rain. England prevailed by 41 runs using the DLS technique, while Namibia could only muster 84 runs in 10 overs and three wickets in the process.
