The latest event was when David Warner made an amazing helicopter entrance for the Sydney Smash at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers will play their pivotal Big Bash League (BBL) match on Friday, January 12.
Warner was supposed to land at Allianz Stadium, which is close to SCG, according to prior agreements. To play in the match, which is expected to be his first competitive match after declaring his retirement from Test and ODI cricket, the 37-year-old is said to have quickly left for Cessnock airport after attending his brother’s wedding in the Hunter Valley.
“Have you ever seen anything like it?” the official BBL X (formerly Twitter) account asked, sharing the footage of Warner’s arrival. Ascending by chopper to the Sydney Smash is @davidwarner31 at the @scg. #BBL13.”

David Warner will compete in three games for the Sydney Thunder this year.
Prior to the previous BBL season, David Warner had paid a huge sum of money to secure a two-year contract with the Sydney Thunder. With one victory in their last seven games, the Thunder, who are presently ranked seventh in the eight-team standings, will see the devastating opener play in three games overall.
The Chris Green-led team has little chance of making it to the knockout stages, but they will be without the 37-year-old’s services for those games since he is scheduled to play in the upcoming ILT20 in the United Arab Emirates. A return from the United Arab Emirates is also anticipated for the renowned southpaw, who will play in Australia’s T20I team against the West Indies. Before a definitive call to retire from international cricket following the much-awaited ICC T20 World Cup, which is set to begin in June in the West Indies and the United States, he might have stayed available in the shortest format.
Against this, the Sydney Sixers, who are trying to qualify for the playoffs, will have star player Steven Smith and are expected to perform a fantastic game. After winning four of their first eight games of the season, Moises Henriques and company are presently in third place.
