Dinesh Karthik was hailed as an inspiration by Saba Karim.

Retired cricketer Saba Karim criticised Suryakumar Yadav harshly for failing to capitalise on starts despite receiving numerous opportunities in ODIs. The right-handed hitter has recorded two half-centuries and 332 runs at an avg of 36.88 in 12 ODIs.

Yadav, who received scores of 9 and 13 in the ODI series against the West Indies, hasn’t been at his best. Yadav was urged by Karim to grow up and make the most of his talent since he believed he had a tremendous chance to win games for the Men in Blue.

“I hope Suryakumar Yadav develops into a reliable match-winner for India. In the Twenty20 match against England, he scored a century. But despite having several opportunities (in ODIs), he had not been able to capitalise on the beginnings he has received. In international cricket, this is forbidden.

In international cricket, this is forbidden. Making the most of your stroke-making abilities is important since you have so much of them, according to Karim, who was quoted on Indian news.

Ishan Kishan was also criticised by Karim for not making the most of his opportunities in limited-overs cricket. But he gave Dinesh Karthik a lot of credit for becoming an inspiration and persevering well into his late 30s.

Dinesh Karthik doesn’t require motivation because he is an inspiration in and of himself and is very experienced. But unlike Axar Patel and Deepak Hooda, Ishan Kishan has not yet been able to capitalise on his opportunities and play better for his team,” he continued.
