Suryakumar Yadav once again astounded the entire globe on Saturday when he hit his third hundred in a Twenty20 International match, which took place in Rajkot against Sri Lanka. Suryakumar Yadav finished the game unbeaten with 112 runs after facing 51 balls.
His innings had nine sixes and seven fours among its runs scored. However, the India batting sensation himself is in awe of Dewald Brevis for his power-hitting abilities, and he has stated that he wants to learn the “no-look” shots from the South African player when they share the Mumbai Indians dressing room during the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sometimes I’m just trying to be like you, Brevis. How you swing the bat. You are going to have to show me one thing, and that is how you accomplish the no-look shot and the no-look six. I just want to get that information from you,” Surya stated during a one-on-one conversation with Brevis that was shown on MI TV.
The answer that Brevis gave was, “I would consider it an honour; nevertheless, I would also love to learn lots of shots from you.” The amusing part is that my no-look shot simply so happens; I don’t know why, it just does.
In addition to sharing a locker room with Surya during the Indian Premier League, Brevis will play for MI Cape Town in the forthcoming inaugural edition of the South African Twenty20 tournament, which will take place in South Africa.
During a CSA T20 Challenge match, the young Brevis knocked 162 runs off 57 balls, which earned Surya praise. Surya is currently ranked as the best T20 batter in the world.
The last time I saw you play, a T20 match, you scored between 160 and 165 runs off of 50 or 55 balls. If you get to bat for approximately one hundred balls in one-day internationals, Surya asks, “Are you going to score a triple hundred?”
Brevis responded, “For me, it was just another typical day. It (that knock) just occurred at this very moment.
I didn’t even realise what I was doing at that moment; everything simply happened in the moment. At one point, I even told the person who was not striking that I think I’ll attempt to hit every ball for six. I didn’t even realise what I was doing at that moment.
“I don’t know how it happened, but it seems like it was a special innings. But I feel obligated to tell you that what you have accomplished is nothing short of remarkable; please accept my congrats on being the best batsman in Twenty20 Internationals.
