KKR put their pinch bat, Sunil Narine, up in order to start the inning with Phil Salt as they prepared to pursue. In the Indian Premier League 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squared off in Match 10 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. KKR chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Although their bowlers did a remarkable job of controlling the run flow in the middle overs, RCB still managed to score a respectable 182 runs.
Right from the word “go,” Narine was inaccurate. The pundits talked about the wicket slowing down before the innings began, and the bowlers from Bengaluru held back on taking pace off the ball. With a slap across mid-off, the Caribbean all-rounder started his innings and Yash Dayal was unable to change his direction. After that, he sent Alzarri Joseph to the dry cleaners after hitting two straight sixes in one over.
In the fifth over of the innings, Siraj attempted a slower delivery on the fifth ball, but Narine was poised and expected it, hitting him for a six. The cherry on top came when Faf du Plessis chose Dayal to bowl the final over of the powerplay because he was once more on the opener’s radar.

Narine successfully breaks Yash Dayal’s over for 20 runs.
On the first ball the experienced KKR spinner faced against Dayal in the over, he was smacked for a four. The next ball, he then hit deep mid-wicket for a six. He hit a six on another ball that he let go. The hitter mishandled the fifth ball of the over, sending it hurtling towards the fine-leg fence.
He looked decisive in the middle of the tightly packed Chinnaswamy after getting 20 runs from the previous five balls he played. But Mayank Dagar entered the offensive, giving the hosts a moment of relief. The RCB spinner maintained a tight line, refusing to allow the seasoned all-rounder to open his arms. Dagar threw a yorker the very next ball, and the part-time hitter, who had scored 47 off 22, did not bring his bat to the ground.
Meanwhile, netizens went crazy after Narine’s knock, which had everyone talking online. In the El-Premiere rivalry of the Indian Premier League, KKR defeated RCB once more thanks to the platform Narine provided.
‘X’ users responded as follows to Sunil Narine’s blitzkrieg at Chinnaswamy:
