On Monday, the Punjab Kings made the announcement that former India left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi will serve as the team’s spin bowling coach for the 2018 season of the Indian Premier League.
Through their official Twitter account, the Punjab Kings franchise made the following announcement: “We are thrilled to announce that former Indian left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi has been appointed as Punjab Kings’ spin bowling coach.”
The 52-year-old former captain of the Indian cricket team, who competed in 15 tests and 69 one-day internationals between the years 1996 and 2001, formerly served as the head of the Indian selection committee before being succeeded by the current chairman, Chetan Sharma.

Joshi played for both Karnataka and Royal Challengers Bangalore during his successful two-decade long career in domestic cricket for Karnataka. Joshi also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The team that is captained by Shikhar Dhawan has made significant changes to the coaching staff, one of which is the recall of Wasim Jaffer to his previous position as batting coach. In addition, Charl Langeveldt has been selected to serve as the bowling coach, and Brad Haddin will continue in his role as assistant coach.
The Punjab Kings came in sixth place out of a total of ten teams in the IPL 2022 standings.
