The Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee made the announcement on Wednesday on the 20-person squad that would be travelling to India to compete in the next white-ball series.
In the one-day internationals and twenty20 internationals that Sri Lanka will play against India, Dasun Shanaka will head the team while Kusal Mendis will serve as his deputy.

There will be three Twenty20 Internationals and the same number of One Day Internationals throughout the tour. Sri Lanka will play three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals during their trip of India, which will take place from January 3 to January 15.
The opening game of the series will be played in Mumbai on January 3, 2023, while the second and third games are scheduled to take place in Pune and Rajkot on January 5 and 7, respectively.
On January 10, 12, and 15, respectively, the one-day internationals will take place at Guwahati, Kolkata, and Trivandrum.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made their team announcements earlier on Tuesday for the forthcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka.
Hardik Pandya, an all-rounder, will lead India’s Twenty20 International side against Sri Lanka in the three-match series that will take place in Mumbai. The Indian Twenty20 International team has selected Suryakumar Yadav to serve as the team’s second captain. The Twenty20 International team for India does not include Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, or KL Rahul.
In the one-day international series that Men in Blue will play against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma will lead the team as captain for a second time.
