The second test match between Bangladesh and India will take place in Dhaka beginning on December 22, and left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed has been added to Bangladesh’s team for the match.
Since it is possible that the skipper, Shakib Al Hasan, would not be able to bowl in the second test match being played in Dhaka, Nasum has been brought in to provide an additional alternative for spin bowling.
Shakib only delivered 12 overs of bowling during the first innings of the first Test match that was played at Chattogram, but he did not bowl at all during the second innings. After being defeated in the first test by a score of 188 runs, Bangladesh is currently behind in the two-match series 0-1.
In an effort to get the score closer to even, Bangladesh has included Nasum in their team; he is expected to make his Test debut soon. According to the information provided on the ICC website, Nasum has provided an outstanding performance for the Bangladesh side in the white-ball format, particularly in T20 Internationals.
Ebadot Hossain, a pace bowler, was not used in Chattogram’s second innings and will not participate in the second test because of this.
The pace department has also been weakened as a result of Shoriful Islam’s absence from the first Test. Islam was forced to sit out the match after injuring his hamstring during a warm-up session before the game.
Both batter Anamul Haque and wicketkeeper Tamim Iqbal have been cut from the team due to their inability to recover from their respective injuries in time for game time.
After suffering a defeat in the first test, Bangladesh will be hopeful that the adjustments will lead to a reversal in their luck in the subsequent matches.
On the other hand, India will be looking to keep its recent success going and strengthen its position in the standings for the World Test Championship.
The second test match will be played in Dhaka from the 22nd through the 26th of December.
Kuldeep Yadav, a spin bowler for India, took eight wickets and was named the player of the match for his performance in the first test match, which India won by a score of 188 runs.
