Following their 0-1 defeat in the two-match Test series, the West Indies will play South Africa in a three-match Twenty20 International series beginning on Saturday, August 24 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.
When these two sides last played in the Caribbean for the 2024 T20 World Cup, Proteas prevailed in a close Super Eight encounter, prevailing by three wickets. The two sides have a history of fierce rivalry, especially when it comes to the game’s shortest version. With 12 victories in 23 meetings, South Africa has a slight advantage.
Due to the unavailability of several key players, both squads for the forthcoming series will be made up of inexperienced individuals. Alzarri Joseph, Jason Holder, and Andre Russell have all been rested by the hosts.
