Following their devastating loss to Bangladesh in a two-game Test series played in their own backyard, Pakistan Cricket recently came under heavy fire. In their two Test matches against Bangladesh, Pakistan was defeated by six wickets in the second match and by ten wickets in the first.
Pakistan’s past few months have not been kind to the team; in the ODI World Cup 2023, they were ousted before they could make it to the semi-finals, and in the T20 World Cup 2024, they were eliminated from the group stages.
In response to the team’s previous showings, veteran Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly took to the microphone to criticize Pakistan cricket and implore all involved to examine the team’s problems.
“I believe that the nation is seriously lacking in talent. We always think of Miandad, Wasim, Waqar, Saeed Anwar, Mohammad Yousuf, and Younis Khan when we think about Pakistan, Ganguly was cited by NDTV as adding.
“For us, that is Pakistan; but, in the current era of cricket, that does not translate into victories. To succeed in world cricket, every generation must develop exceptional players. Looking at Pakistan, I seen them in the West Indies World Cup, in India during the World Cup, and with Bangladesh’s series defeat—that nation lacks talent,” he continued.
It will need to be investigated by those involved in Pakistani sports: Sourav Ganguly
The former captain of India also stated that he takes the advise seriously and that although Pakistan once had some excellent players, those guys are no longer on the team. In addition to Ganguly, numerous other experts have questioned the team’s recent results. According to rumors, the PCB wants to switch up its captains for each format.

“Those associated with the sport in Pakistan will need to investigate. I mean no disrespect when I say this. I don’t see any outstanding cricketers from Pakistan in this team, unlike in the past,” Ganguly remarked.
