Shubman Gill and Jaiswal were mostly concerned with boundaries when it came to the chase. Both cricket players looked perfect in the centre, so they wanted to wrap it up early. The Zimbabwean bowlers appeared illiterate in the middle as none of them were able to halt the onslaught.
After not participating in a single game at the recently finished T20 World Cup, India’s opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was itching for more runs. He caused havoc in the fourth Twenty20 International match between Zimbabwe and the Men in Bue, blasting 93 runs to assist the Men in Bue defeat the Chevrons by ten wickets. He was strongly assisted by India’s skipper Shubman Gill, who scored 58 runs off just 39 balls to win the series.
The plan was to assess the conditions first, thus after winning the toss, the visitors elected to bowl first. Despite Zimbabwe’s explosive start, their bowlers performed admirably. Interestingly, Wessly Madhevere was removed by Shivam Dube, putting Zimbabwe on the back foot, while Abhishek Sharma, who gave up a lot of runs during the series, made the first breakthrough.
Zimbabwe’s skipper Sikandar Raza made an unsuccessful attempt to save the country from a dire situation. As the hosts amassed 152 runs in the opening innings, the seasoned all-rounder blasted 46 runs off of 28 balls. Two wickets were taken by pacer Khaleel Ahmed, and one each by Tushar Deshpande, Washington Sundar, Abhishek, and Dube.
Jaiswal in particular was an aggressive cricketer, with ___ boundaries and ____ sixes in his innings. He was ultimately named Player of the Match after having an incredible evening. He’s guaranteed a spot in the series against Sri Lanka with that.

However, Gill demonstrated that he is prepared for Twenty20 international cricket by easily hitting a half-century. Given how strong Jaiswal, Abhishek Sharma, and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been in the series, there were concerns over Gill’s participation when India was slated to play Sri Lanka next. But the standout Indian batsman is back in the running after recording an incredible half-century.
