The Shpageeza League, Afghanistan’s main T20 competition, is almost over. Aside from Mohammad Nabi, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Azmatullah Omarzai, the main event featured prominent figures in Afghanistan cricket, such as Hashmatullah Shahidi, Rashid Khan, and Naveen-ul-Haq.After the league’s end, Hashamtullah Shahidi revealed how the competition has been very beneficial for the nation’s youth growth. The league is being hosted in Kabul.
“Shpageeza League is our premier league, and this year all of our national heroes are participating.
They have taken time off from their regular schedules to play here, and it’s a chance for the Afghan people to see their heroes on TV and in person,” Shahidi said in an interview.
The Test and ODI captain of Afghanistan, Hashmatullah Shahidi, is pleased at the opportunity that the Shpageeza Cricket League is providing youngsters.

Interestingly, Afghanistan Cricket has improved significantly in the previous few years, as seen by the fact that many of its players now compete in leagues such as the Pakistan Super League, Indian Premier League, Big Bash League, and Caribbean Premier League.Afghanistan has advanced to the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup, which took place in the USA and the West Indies.
For a considerable amount of time now, the Shpageeza Cricket League has served as a career-advancing platform for young people in Afghanistan. The fact that they are becoming more and more prevalent in international cricket is evidence of the competition’s success.
Afghanistan and New Zealand will play a single test match.
In relation to their forthcoming duties, Afghanistan will play New Zealand in a one-off Test on September 9 at the Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground in Greater Noida.
