Shoaib Malik located the “missing” member of his team as Pakistan fell to India

Malik posted a video to his Instagram account during the India vs. Pakistan match in which he said, “I think we are missing one player on the field and that person is” before directing the camera towards Shaheen Afridi.

A video of Pakistan’s national team pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi that was posted by Pakistan batter Shoaib Malik and shared on social media has since gained widespread attention. Malik took the video that was released during Pakistan’s 2022 Asia Cup match versus India on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. The match was being held in Dubai.

Even though Shaheen will not be able to participate in the competition because of a knee injury, he has made arrangements to see the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan, who are bitter rivals. Although he did not participate in the high-stakes game as a player, the pacer did enter the arena to cheer on his team throughout the intense competition.

The absence of pacer Shaheen was felt as the Rohit Sharma-led team edged Pakistan by 5 wickets in the last-over drama. Pacers Naseem Shah, Shahnawaz Dahani, and Haris Rauf performed a superb job working together in the game against India.

In the meantime, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam made a mistake in their strategy, which resulted in them having to bowl a spinner in the last over despite the fact that their quota for fast bowlers had been used up by the 19th over.

During the course of the game, Malik posted a video to his Instagram account in which he could be heard saying, “I think we are missing one player on the pitch and that person is,” before turning the camera in the direction of Shaheen Afridi.

In reference to the game, an all-around performance by Hardik Pandya was important in India’s exciting five-wicket victory over their bitter rivals Pakistan on the opening day of the Asia Cup, which took place on Sunday in Dubai.

India was able to bowl out Pakistan for 147 thanks to the efforts of Hardik, who returned figures of 3 for 25 in 4 overs and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who had 4 for 26. After that, the all-rounder struck 33 runs without being out off only 17 balls to lead India to victory.
