Pakistan defeated England in the second Test at Multan on Friday, October 18, winning a Test match at home for the first time in more than three years. Noman Ali’s eight-wicket haul in the second innings and Sajid Khan’s seven-wicket haul in the first helped the hosts break the long-standing curse on a spinning ground.
Following their 0–2 loss to Bangladesh in the Test series and their defeat by England in the opening Test, Pakistan was under pressure. Nonetheless, the management showed courage by benching players like Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi, and Babar Azam for the second Test. After Kamran Ghulam replaced Babar, captain Shan Masood gave his thoughts on his debutant’s performance.
It’s never simple to replace one of the world’s top batters, in my opinion, Kami (Kamran Ghulam). We were all supporting him, but I can’t even begin to understand the pressure someone can be under after reading some terrible things even before he played his first Test match. He seemed to fit right in right away. “It was unique to achieve that century,” Masood stated, as cited by Cricket Pakistan.
Probably one of my favorite players is Agha: Shan Masood
Masood also noticed Agha Salman’s knocks in the first and second innings, as he scored 31 and 63, respectively, even though Sajid and Noman made the most significant contributions. Even Saim Ayub’s 77-run performance in the first innings was emphasized by him, and he noted that the victory was greatly influenced by the little contributions.
One of my favorite players is definitely (Salman Ali) Agha; he works well with others and is totally committed to Pakistan. It’s unique that he can perform well under pressure and contribute to the team. Although Noman and Sajid have been the front-runners, there have also been some really good little contributions,

Such as Saim Ayub, who played admirably in the first innings and even the 20-odd in the second. All of it came together, and that’s what a team effort is,” he continued.
