Shahnawaz Dahani is ruled out of PSL 2023 owing to a finger injury.

Due to a broken finger, 24-year-old Shahnawaz Dahani is ruled out for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League season for the Multan Sultans, who suffered an early loss in this year’s competition. The injury occurred during the team’s game against Lahore Qalandars.

When Sikandar Raza punched the ball to the ground, the ball struck Dahani in the hand. It was eventually revealed that he suffered a finger fracture. The 24-year-old has been declared out for the remainder of the current PSL season, and according to multiple reports, he may be out of action for two months.

Since making his PSL debut in 2021, Dahani has been one of Multan Sultans’ most crucial bowlers. In his first season, he took 20 wickets, and his absence will leave a major void in the Multan Sultans lineup.
Multan Sultans lose their inaugural matchup.
Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars squared off in the opening encounter of PSL 2023. Lahore Qalandars came triumphed from a nail-biting match. Fakhar Zaman’s innings of 66 runs off 42 balls was important in the Lahore-based team’s victory.

Mohammad Rizwan’s knock of 75 off 50 balls gave the Sultans a chance to win their first game of the season, but it was not enough as they lost. In the future, the loss of Shahnawaz Dawani could complicate the team’s strategy, and the Sultans will have to rely on their other pace bowlers.

The Sultans have been one of the most consistent teams in the PSL, losing only twice last season, including the final against Qalandars. They will next compete against the Quetta Gladiators on February 15.
