As his son-in-law, Shahid Afridi acknowledged his happiness at being the “youngest grandfather.” On August 24, Saturday, Shaheen Afridi and her daughter Ansha Afridi welcomed a boy into the world.
Ali Yar, the firstborn son of Pakistan’s pace-bowling star Shaheen and his wife Ansha Afridi, a daughter of Shahid, were introduced as the new parents. Shahid, the former all-rounder for Pakistan, became a grandfather after his daughter gave birth to a child. Congratulations began to pour in as soon as Shaheen announced the birth of their first child on social media. Upon viewing all of the touching wishes, the renowned Shahid was filled with emotion.
“We’ve been inundated with love letters from all of our friends on our milestone as the youngest grandfather in cricket history. “My family and I sincerely appreciate you all being a part of our joy,” Afridi posted on X.

Shaheen may miss the home Test series against Bangladesh to attend his first child’s birth, according to comments made earlier by Pakistan’s test coach, Jason Gillespie. The first Test in Rawalpindi, which ends on Sunday, August 25, is still in progress, but the left-arm seamer has chosen to play.
In 2021, Shaheen and Ansha got engaged. They exchanged vows in a small nikah ceremony in February of this year.
