In order to win their third IPL championship, the Kolkata Knight Riders made history by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 summit match. In the final, the team outplayed Pat Cummins’ team and won by eight wickets. It was an incredible effort.
Following the victory, Gautam Gambhir, the team’s mentor, and co-owner Shah Rukh Khan were spotted having fun together. SRK is seen rejoicing with Gambhir in the video that has gone viral on social media, even kissing him on the forehead.
It is noteworthy to mention that Gambhir was named the team’s mentor prior to the 2024 Indian Premier League season. During the 2022 and 2023 IPL seasons, Gambhir guided the Lucknow Super Giants, helped them advance to the playoffs, and helped them win the championship in his first season back with KKR.

Quick victory for KKR vs SRH
Speaking of the IPL 2024 championship game, Sunrisers Hyderabad chose to bat first after winning the toss, but on such a crucial day, KKR’s superior bowling unit quickly exposed them. Travis Head left the game after two runs and Abhishek Sharma after none.
In the game’s opening inning, SRH scored 113 runs, with Aiden Markram and Pat Cummins scoring the most runs. Among the KKR players, Andre Russell claimed the most wickets with three.

KKR chased the mark and won the match by eight wickets to win their third IPL title. Gurbaz scored 39 runs in 32 deliveries, while Iyer amassed 52* runs in 26 deliveries.
