Shadab Khan, the standout all-rounder for Pakistan, added some Bollywood glitz to the World Cup 2023 media conference, garnering admirers on both sides of the border. Shadab Khan, renowned for his skill on the field and persona off it, made a reference to the classic Bollywood film “Singham” when the Pakistan cricket team arrived in India for the much awaited competition. Shadab Khan couldn’t help but notice that a police officer was in the room at the team’s first official press conference in Hyderabad.
Ajay Devgn’s iconic Bajirao Singham, a supercop renowned for his fearless demeanor, was alluded to in the allusion. The humorous comment made by Shadab Khan highlighted the friendship between the Pakistani players and their Indian hosts and provided a touch of lightheartedness to the proceedings. Shadab and his teammates were moved by the passionate welcome they received from fans at the team hotel and the kind welcome they received at the airport in Hyderabad.
I notice Singham is there in the room: “Singham bhi aaye hain yaha pe.” “The welcome was fantastic at the (Hyderabad) airport, and also a lot of people have been thronging the team hotel and hospitality-wise it’s been really good,” Shadab said during Pakistan’s first press conference in India.
“The food has been really good, and the support workers, who are all South Africans, are concerned that we might wind up getting fatter (laughter). Hope to receive the similar support when we play India in Ahmedabad (laughter),” the Pakistan vice captain remarked.
I greatly love Rohit Sharma, and if he gets going, he can be quite dangerous: Shadab Khan
The vice captain of Pakistan also made no effort to hide his admiration for Rohit Sharma, the captain and opener of Team India. The leg spinner said that it may be quite challenging to contain the Hitman when he is in the zone during the conversation. Rohit Sharma simply becomes unstoppable and dangerous once the opponent gives him a chance to stay at the crease for a while. In addition, he did not forget to include Kuldeep Yadav when he said that the willy left-arm wrist spinner is the most dangerous bowler going into the ODI World Cup in 2023.
The most challenging batsman to bowl to among the top batsmen in the world is Rohit Sharma, who I greatly like. He becomes extremely dangerous once he settles in. Since I am a leg-spinner, Kuldeep Yadav will be one of the bowlers considering his recent performance,” Shadab said.
