In the two days of the TNPL 2023 auction, which took place on February 23 and 24, the eight clubs were able to get several reputable names. The most expensive player of the auction was Sai Sudharsan, who is presently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and was acquired by Lyca Kovai Kings for INR 21.60 lakhs.

The TNPL’s 2022 season came to an unexpected end as the final match was abandoned, resulting in Lyca Kovai Kings and Chepauk Super Gillies being declared the winners.

The tournament schedule was just released, and the seventh season of the TNPL is quickly approaching. On Monday, June 12, the tournament will start, and in Coimbatore, the opening match of the year will feature Lyca Kovai Kings vs. Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans.

The tournament will have 32 games in total, including the championship game. There will be 28 league stage games and 4 knockout games. The TNPL is expected to begin in Coimbatore and travel to Dindigul, Salem, and Tirunelveli after that.

Qualification I and the Eliminator will take place in Salem, while Qualifier II and the final will be held in Tirunelveli. In addition, the debut of the Decision Review System (DRS) for the TNPL this year has been announced.
