A three-match Test series between Australia and Pakistan is all set to start on December 14. The team made news before the series for all the wrong reasons when Sarfaraz Ahmed and Suad Shakeel were spotted arguing during a practice session.
“For how long will I continue to be of use to you?” Shakeel said this in a video that captured their disagreement and was posted to YouTube.
The former captain of Pakistan, Sarfaraz Ahmed, answered, “It won’t help me in any way. First of all, I never gave you any instructions. I never asked you to switch things around. I switched places with the person I was going to.”
Before the team left for the series in Australia, both players made waves in an intra-squad practice match. Notably, Sarfaraz Ahmed filed an appeal against Shakeel, seeking a timely dismissal.
As Shakeel saw the request, he dashed to the pitch before he could even put on his gloves. As he avoided an appeal and a timed-out dismissal, the umpire decided that Shakeel was still in the game when he reached the crease.
Seems like saud is still angry that he was benched for 33 games by sarfaraz
and this is not the way to behave with youngster man (so unfortunate) #PAKvAUS #PAKvsAUS #BabarAzam𓃵 pic.twitter.com/7ujAJHEtt3

Pakistan wants to defeat Australia at home
A three-match Test series between Australia and Pakistan will begin on December 14 at Optus Stadium in Perth. Pakistan has never won a red-ball series against Australia, so the World Test Championship series could prove to be a difficult test for them. Pakistan will, however, also be trying to improve upon their results from the just-finished ODI World Cup 2023, when they were unable to go past the group stage.
