The superstar Rajnikath film “Jailer” recently had a screening in Dublin, Ireland, and Sanju Samson, India’s wicketkeeper-batter, was invited as a guest of honor. Samson is currently in Ireland with the Indian side, competing in a T20I series of three games.
On August 20, while Samson was at the crease for the second Twenty20 International between India and Ireland at The Village, cricketer-turned-commentator Niall O’Brien reported the event. In the second T20I, the Kerala-born cricketer was essential for the Jasprit Bumrah-led team, striking 40 runs off of 26 deliveries. Notably, the visitors finished the series by winning the game by 33 runs.
The 28-year-old has already admitted that Rajnikanth is one of his favorite actors. Samson had previously paid the actor a visit at his Poes Garden home in Chennai. He later described the experience as a realization of a lifelong fantasy. After seeing his favorite movie actor, he posted on social media about how excited he was. On his official X account, the batsman shared a sentimental message and a photo of himself with the actor.
“At the age of 7, I already declared to my parents that I was a Super Rajni fan and that I would one day visit Rajni Sir at his home. “After 21 years, the day of The Thalaivar’s invitation has come..,” he had written as the caption of the photo.
Asia Cup reserve Sanju Samson has been named
India unveiled an 18-person roster for the eagerly anticipated Asia Cup, which will take place from August 30 to September 17. Samson has been selected for the team but has been designated as a reserve since KL Rahul has been chosen by Ishan Kishan to be the first wicketkeeper-batter ahead of him.
Because of his outstanding batting performance in the Men in Blue’s recent 2-1 ODI victory over the West Indies, Kishan was selected. The captain of the Rajasthan Royals hasn’t had many opportunities to wear the Indian jersey in ODIs, and his place in the team for the 2023 World Cup is in doubt. In 13 ODI matches, he has scored 390 runs at an exceptional average of 55.71.
