Sai Sudharsan, a junior cricketer from Tamil Nadu, was called up to the Indian side for the first time on Thursday, November 30. He has been called up to the Indian ODI team for the December series against South Africa.
Sai Sudharsan, who scored an incredible 96 runs for the Gujarat Titans in the 2023 Indian Premier League championship game, showed his excitement. Though he acknowledged that he was left speechless, he also said that he could yet do better.
“I am at a loss for words, but it feels amazing. In an interview with Sportstar on Thursday, Sai Sudharsan said, “It is a dream come true for me, but at the same time, this is just the beginning, and there are many areas where I need to improve.”
Sai was signed by Gujarat Titans for INR 20 lakh, and he ended up being a useful player for the team. His performances, which not only earned him praise but also a contract with Surrey for the final three games of the 2023 County Championship, serve as evidence of his rising stature in the cricket world.
Regarding his two-game stay with County, Sudarsan stated, “I learned a lot playing in all these tournaments, and the exposure it has given me has helped me improve as a batter.”
Despite his achievements, Sai is still concentrated on winning his current game versus Punjab and advancing his side to the Vijay Hazare tournament’s knockout stages.
He went on, “But my first objective is to just concentrate on my match against Punjab tomorrow (Friday) and help the team qualify for the knockouts.”
In the IPL 2023, Sai Sudharsan ability was on display.
