While former Pakistani fast-bowling greats Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram became incredibly irritated and vented their frustrations over Pakistan’s six-wicket loss to India at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, Sachin Tendulkar, a former Indian cricketing great and batting maestro, chose to look on the bright side of things.
After experiencing victory five times as a member of the Indian team in the ODI World Cup against Pakistan (1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, and 2011), Tendulkar posted his thoughts on social media on his official X account, comparing the latest outcome to a well-known situation in a different country. Not only did this allusion highlight India’s historical supremacy over Pakistan in cricket, but it also alluded to India’s dominant record against its neighbours in the T20 World Cup, which India presently leads 7-1.
