Ruturaj Gaikwad, the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led his team to victory in their third IPL 2024 encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with a mature knock of 67* runs off 58. He then closed the game with MS Dhoni as the hosts triumphed by seven wickets.

The victory keeps the reigning champions in fourth place in the standings. This season, they are undefeated at MA Chidambaram Stadium, although they haven’t had much luck traveling. Next up for Chennai is a matchup at Wankhede Stadium on April 14 versus their bitterest foe, the Mumbai Indians. With just one victory in their first four league games, the Hardik Pandya-led team hasn’t been able to perform well thus far.
