Many Indian batsmen, especially Rohit Sharma, would have been salivating to get some runs in what was considered to be a pivotal series against a purportedly exhausted New Zealand, who were coming off a landslide victory against Sri Lanka. However, Rohit has not had an easy ride as the home Test season draws to a close.
His most recent termination occurred at Wankhede Stadium. seeing the local boy in front of a packed venue. Rohit was fired by Matt Henry in a rather atypical way. Rohit, who was in form, might not have closed the face on that kind of delivery even though the ball held up a little. At second slip, though, Rohit did just that when his opposite number made a catch. The Mumbai-born star could only muster an 18 runs per ball in an innings that appeared to be one of his best.
His current series scores are 2, 52, 0, and 8. In the first essay, India was defeated for their lowest Test score at home, and the Bengaluru surface had settled considerably by the time of the half-century. However, it was a little unfortunate that his innings ended with a top-spin off a forward lunge.
The fact that he scampered down the track and then attempted to defend the ball was another uncharacteristic dismissal in Pune. The extra bounce worked in his favour, as the fielder under the lid made a straightforward catch.
India’s decisive victory in the Bangladesh series served as the catalyst for the slender run. Rohit played in three subsequent innings but had little to show for it, with the exception of his quick but forceful 23-run performance in Kanpur.

With the difficult Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting in November, Rohit needs to establish his bearings quickly, which is what he would like to achieve when India plays the second innings of the Wankhede Test.

Getting out is normal, but look at how he’s getting out. Had no clue what kind of ball it is or how to play it. Way he is performing in test not a good sign.
