There are a few surprises in the combined XI that Cricket Australia (CA) has revealed for the T20 World Cup 2024. He has not been selected captain with the all-star Indian hitter Rohit Sharma in the lineup. Cricket Australia’s XI does not include star Indian bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Singh.
Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik, and Rohit Sharma are the only Indians in the starting lineup. Alongside Travis Head, Rohit starts the inning. Nicholas Pooran was handed the role of being both the wicketkeeper and the third batsman in place of Rishabh Pant.
Aaron Jones of the USA was placed in the lineup at number four. The outstanding hitter earned his spot in the team with 162 runs scored in six games. Marcus Stoinis and Hardik Pandya are carrying the load as the team’s all-rounders.

Rashid Khan has been selected to lead the team as captain and be the primary spinner. Many would concur with the choice, given that Afghanistan advanced to their first-ever T20 World Cup semi-final under Rashid Khan. Afghanistan advanced to the tournament’s knockout stages despite being placed in the same Super Eight group as Australia and India. Afghanistan defeated both Australia and Bangladesh. In the lineup, the second spinner was Rishad Hossain. Kuldeep only featured in four matches, whereas Rishad amassed 14 wickets to Kuldeep’s 10.
Additionally, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Jasprit Bumrah, and Anrich Nortje were still in the bowling lineup. Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh were left out of the lineup. With 15 wickets, Arshdeep is the second-highest wicket-taker in the competition. This is something to note.
