In reference to his IPL 2024 performance, Rohit Sharma stated, “As a batter, I know I didn’t live up to the benchmark. However, I’ve played for so long that I know that overthinking will hinder my performance. All I try to do is maintain a positive outlook, remain in my comfort zone, practise consistently, and work on all of my game’s shortcomings. I just kept doing that.
Things didn’t go as planned during our season. We hold ourselves accountable for this as we were too careless in the season. We dropped a lot of games that we ought to have won, but that’s just how the IPL works. You have few opportunities, so you have to seize them when they present themselves.”
Before the IPL, we had discussed all of these indications with seventy percent of the team, stated Rohit Sharma.
At Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated the Mumbai Indians (MI) by an innings to win their sixth IPL 2024 match. While batting first, Lucknow amassed 214 runs and restricted Mumbai to 196 runs to secure this victory. However, the victory margin was insufficient to advance them into the top four, and they were eliminated from the tournament in the group stages. On Match Centre Live, Rohit Sharma (68* runs) had an exclusive conversation with JioCinema regarding his performance in the IPL 2024 and the T20 World Cup team.

“We gave careful consideration to the World Cup squad we ultimately decided to field. We had a plan before the IPL to take our best spinners, seamers, hitters, and keepers to the World Cup. We didn’t pay too much attention to it because everyone’s IPL performances might fluctuate greatly. We had to watch some players perform, but we also had to make sure that everyone had the information they required. Before the IPL began, everyone needed to know if they would be on the squad and what their role would be. This way, they could prepare and play as needed.
