In the past, in team hotels, dressing rooms, and other places, Team India captain Rohit Sharma has made a number of unintentional mistakes involving his belongings, electronics, important documents, and accessories. His friends and teammates have also brought up the Men in Blue captain’s propensity for misplacing his belongings.
Again, during India’s opening Twenty20 World Cup 2024 match against Ireland at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, a comical occurrence occurred. Once Ireland’s captain, Paul Stirling, had flipped the coin, calling “heads,” and Rohit had come out on top, he decided to field.
In response to questions concerning his choice, he pointed to the warm-up game played at the same location versus Bangladesh, suggesting that he and the management took cues from their tactics and chose to adopt the preference for chasing rather than setting a goal.

Still, the funny thing happened when the commentator asked who was on the Indian squad. As he listed the names, Rohit Sharma, in his typical style, highlighted Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Kuldeep Yadav as those who were left out, but he couldn’t remember the name of leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and wrote it down as “one more.”
