Before the following game in Kanpur, Akash talked about his experience and said that two Indian cricket legends, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, had taught him a lot about hard work and devotion.
Earlier in the year, during the series against England, India’s star bowler Akash Deep made his debut for his country. The Bengal pacer’s performance in the first round of the Duleep Trophy, which included taking three wickets on his debut, helped him secure a spot in India’s squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
The bowler took two wickets in the opening Test match at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, as India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs.
I’ve been learning about commitment and diligence from Virat and Rohit. I feel privileged to be able to play for Rohit bhaiya.
“He prevented me from playing under any form of pressure,” Akash was cited by RevSportz during the press conference held prior to the game.
“They are the game’s legends. Nevertheless, the commitment they demonstrate and the effort they make each day… With Virat bhai and Rohit bhaiya, I’ve been learning about commitment and perseverance. I feel privileged to be able to play for Rohit bhaiya. I’ve never felt under pressure from him. He has consistently supported my freedom to play,” Akash Deep continued.
This seems like a sporting pitch to me: Akash Deep
According to Akash, Kanpur’s surface is sporty and won’t decline as much, giving bowlers and hitters insufficient assistance. He stated that he anticipates a good level of competitiveness and that in order for the bowlers to be successful in the second Test, they must keep their line and length.
This is a sporting pitch, in my opinion. Not at all docile, not really helpful. Ultimately, it’s important to bowl in the appropriate spots, according to Akash.
I’ve practiced my advantages: Akash Deep
The 27-year-old has undoubtedly cemented his spot in the Indian Test team by performing admirably in the few opportunities he has had. The pacer discussed his development, saying he has put a lot of effort into his areas of strength and that he likes to keep things straightforward and not put too much pressure on himself.

“I have played a lot of cricket during the past two seasons. I have practiced what I am good at. I try not to put too much strain on myself and to keep things easy,” Akash remarked.
