Assistant coach of the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Shane Bond, was greatly delighted by Riyan Parag’s performance during Monday’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) match at the Wankhede Stadium against the Mumbai Indians. In a match where the chase was expected to be simple, Parag scored an outstanding 54 without losing. Notably, his side won by six wickets thanks to the young player’s heroic knock.
After the cricket player from Assam made an impact, Bond said that Parag made him think of a youthful Suryakumar Yadav, who had signed with the Mumbai Indians in 2011. The 22-year-old was also referred to as a player with “extreme talent” by the former New Zealand legend. The former New Zealand fast bowler thought that moving Parag up to No. 4 would be a good move for Rajasthan because of his strong domestic record that he carried over into the IPL.
I can’t help but feel that Riyan Parag and Surya, who visited Mumbai a few years ago, are something similar. He has extraordinary talent, judging by the way he looks. Bond stated at the press conference following the game, “Even though he is only 22, he has just matured as a cricketer.”
“Obviously, batting up the order, he has had a tremendous domestic season. The move we made with Devdutt to bring Avesh in was to move Riyan up to a position that was maybe more appropriate,” he continued.

Additionally, the 48-year-old pace veteran complimented Riyan Parag and said that the young player had to fill the job of finisher in the IPL at a young age while other teams used highly experienced international players. It seems like the team management was finally getting the best performance out of the 22-year-old, according to the renowned pacer.
“Riyan started so young, you forget he was 17 or so, batting at one of the hardest positions in a No. 6 batting lineup. The players who complete games around the IPL are typically quite experienced men, as you can see,” RR’s assistant coach went on.

“International cricket players of the highest calibre are Tim Davids and Dave Millers. That’s been Riyan’s responsibility for a while now. Despite being a young man, he already has a wealth of experience behind him. He is beginning to lose to us. The financial commitment that RR made to him is beginning to pay off. “It’s quite intriguing what he can provide us with for the remainder of the season,” Bond said.cricket, cricket live score, live score, cricket score, cricket news, cricket live, today cricket matches, cricket schedules, live cricket, ball by ball commentary, ind live score, cricket stats, cricket records, dream11, match prediction, cricket highlights, cricket preview, cricket videos, icc player rankings, BCCI news, ICC news
