For their respective teams in the Indian Premier League 2024, Riyan Parag and Abhishek Sharma enjoyed incredible seasons. For the Rajasthan Royals, Parag shone while batting in the middle order, amassing 567 runs at an average of 56.7 in 13 innings. However, Abhishek outperformed Travis Head as Sunrisers Hyderabad’s opener, amassing 484 runs in 16 games with a strike rate of 200 overall.
Due to their captivating performance, the pair was selected for India’s July tour to Zimbabwe. The young batters’ first international match took place on July 6 at the Harare Sports Club. According to Parag, the two prospective national team members opened their India jerseys together before making their debuts as members of the 2018 Under-19 World Cup squad.
Together, we unzipped our shirts. He unlocked his room before I did when I went there. We participated in the 2018 World Cup together, missed the next six years, and are now back in the game. “Working with him was really unique,” Parag remarked, as cited by TOI.

In the third Twenty20 International, Abhishek scored his first international century with a tremendous knock. After playing poorly in his first two matches, Parag turned things around in the fifth Twenty20 International by putting together a vital 61-run partnership with Sanju Samson. The Assam batsman shed insight on their partnership by saying that they had to save wickets for the late attack because of the challenging pitch.
