Rishabh Pant’s jersey hanging in the Delhi Capitals dugout prior to their inaugural game sends the internet into a frenzy.

Rishabh Pant, the outstanding batsman and captain of the Delhi Capitals, was found ineligible for the 2023 Indian Premier League. Pant survived a catastrophic accident in December 2022, but he was unable to heal in time for the lucrative competition. Yet, the Delhi Capitals spared no effort to honor the absent player during their debut match against the Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Stadium.

Pant’s jersey was on display in DC’s dugout before to the matchup between the two teams. Fans flooded Twitter with well-wishes for the recovering player as the DC’s gesture swept the internet by storm. It should be recalled that DC head coach Ricky Ponting had already claimed that replacing Pant would be practically difficult.
