Batting in the middle order for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2024, Suryakumar Yadav has shown to be a rock star. With a strike rate of 137.06, the explosive batter has scored 196 runs in seven innings. In the tournament’s Super 8, he scored a vital 31 against Australia after amassing 53 runs against Afghanistan. India advanced to the finals after his most recent 47 runs in the semifinal match against England were absolute gold.
The hitter has been the ideal partner for other batters to create some significant middle-of-the-field partnerships, more so than their individual stats. He has made an impact whether he is bowling with Shivam Dube against the USA or standing with Rohit Sharma for 73 runs in the semifinal. Ravichandran Ashwin, the spinner for India, has praised the efforts made by the right-handed hitter while he bats fourth for the squad.
“One of the best T20 batters in the world is Suryakumar Yadav.”
He is performing incredibly well. However, our people have been talking about major teams and knockout performances as usual. But he’s already put it to rest. “As a top-tier player, he demonstrated his intent in the fourth spot,” Ashwin posted on his YouTube channel.
I am aware of what Dravid has provided every player on his team: Ashwin
When India plays in the final on June 29, Rahul Dravid’s time as head coach of the Indian squad will come to an end. Even after he ceased to play cricket, Dravis made a significant contribution to Indian cricket. He altered the senior team’s composition and served as coach of the Indian under-19 squad. Ashwin emphasised Dravid’s dedication to the squad and his demeanour in the locker room.

“I am aware of Rahul Dravid’s contributions to our team over the previous two to three years. I am aware of his level of equilibrium. I am aware of the effort he has put out to modify this strategy. I am aware of what he has provided for every player. He has been making plans for this and that even while he is just relaxing at home,” he continued.
