Famous Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin recently spoke up and showered Jasprit Bumrah with admiration. He expressed his opinion that Bumrah is the most valuable player on the Indian team and discussed the response the pacer received at a recent function in Chennai.
Though Jasprit Bumrah made his debut for India in 2016, he has since developed into one of the best bowlers of the modern age and a danger to any batsman in the globe. Having represented India in 195 matches across all formats, Bumrah has amassed 397 wickets and established himself as one of the team’s top bowlers. Speaking about the subject, Ashwin said that bowlers are highly respected in Chennai and that Bumrah’s welcome was encouraging.
“Bowlers are highly valued by the people of Chennai. Four or five days ago, he was here as the main guest for an event. We treated him like a Rajni. We in Chennai provide bowlers a very good treatment. We ought to handle him like a champion. Jasprit Bumrah is the most valuable Indian cricket player right now; I don’t want to name him,” Ashwin declared in a video posted on Vimal Kumar’s YouTube channel.

The first game of the series is scheduled to take place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium on September 19. India’s Test series against New Zealand will come after the Bangladesh series, and then there will be the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia.
