Veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin of India is a multi-talented player who is well-known for his bowling abilities. Ashwin’s reputation for running out non-strikers who leave the crease early has helped him become well-known all around the world.
But during the Dindigul Dragons vs. Nellai Royal Kings TNPL 2024 match, Ravichandran Ashwin received a taste of his own medicine. When Ashwin walked out of his crease to bat first for the Dragons, left-arm spinner Mohan Prasath saw it.
Ashwin stopped moving as soon as he saw the bowler pause. Ravichandran Ashwin avoided being run out because, as the replay revealed, he had his bat on the crease. Social media users have been sharing the hilarious video, which is a nice reminder to when Ashwin dismissed Jos Buttler in the 2019 Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Nellai Royal Kings easily defeat the Dindigul Dragons.
Getting back to the match, the 28th TNPL 2024 matchup between Dindigul Dragons and Nellai Royal Kings took place at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. After losing the toss, Dragons decided to bat first to start the game. With Baba Indrajith getting just six runs, the side was off to a poor start when Vimal Khumar was removed for four runs.
In an otherwise dull innings from the other hitters, Shivam Singh did display flashes of brilliance. Dragons amassed 136 runs in the first innings thanks to the 70 runs that Singh scored in 59 deliveries and the 15 runs that Ravichandran Ashwin contributed.
Nellai Royal Kings performed admirably, attempting to pursue the aim. The Nellai Royal Kings won by four wickets thanks to opening batsman Arun Karthik’s 45 runs in 30 deliveries and later innings of 43 runs in 39 deliveries from Guruswamy Ajitesh.
With seven points from as many games, the Kings are currently in fifth place in the rankings following their third victory of the year. The Dindigul Dragons, on the other hand, have eight points from seven games, good for fourth place in the standings.
