Despite never winning an ICC championship, former India captain Rahul Dravid is still regarded as one of the game’s mainstays. His international career ended in 2011. Subsequently, he took up coaching, leading the Indian under-19 squad to victory in the U-19 World Cup 2018. But he had his sights set on the senior men’s title, and if not for the agony in the November 19 final, he was on the verge of winning it in the 2023 World Cup.
When India won the T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29, 2024, he finally realised his dream and concluded his coaching career. The Karnataka hitter bowled to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) personnel in Bengaluru following his great career. The state’s son is back in the bay, and the corresponding video is becoming popular on social media.
Here’s the video of Rahul Dravid bowling to NCA staff:

Virat Kohli called on Rahul Dravid to take part in the trophy-lifting celebration after India pulled off a heist in Barbados to defeat South Africa and win the ICC title. Known for his ability to control his emotions, the veteran let out a fierce cheer as he held the trophy. The 51-year-old joked that the strange celebration was instinctive in response to a question about it.
“These aren’t things you plan.” Since I’m a coach, I usually strive to control my emotions, and you should too. However, I was ecstatic for the squad at that moment. My heart rejoiced for the lads. I was pleased for the help team. “So many people who had worked so hard with me,” Dravid remarked.

“In those pivotal moments, we simply couldn’t step over the line. That day, things worked in our favour. In those circumstances, you need a little bit of fate and luck, he continued.
