In the first Test match between Bangladesh and Pakistan at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, veteran cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim was named Player of the Match. The first-inning performance of the keeper-batter, who scored an incredible 191 runs, gave the visitors a commanding 117-run lead. Bangladesh easily defeated Pakistan by 10 wickets as Pakistan’s batsmen failed to score more than 146 runs in the second innings.
Mushfiqur Rahim gave his award to the Bangladeshi flood victims after the game.
Nearly eighteen people are said to have died, and the 37-year-old declared he will contribute his award money to alleviate the situation. “I would like to announce something and donate my prize money because there has been flooding in Bangladesh again,” Rahim stated during the post-match ceremony.
In terms of his international cricket career, Rahim regarded this knock as one of his best. He pointed out that, for the same reason that Bangladesh has struggled in away Test matches, the victory was crucial for everyone. In addition, he recollected the dedication of all squad members and the coaching staff and mentioned that he is motivated to perform well by representing his country.
Considering how poorly we’ve performed abroad, this is one of my best knocks to date. Every player, both in Pakistan and at home, trained diligently. There was a two-and-a-half-month hiatus before to the Test series. While the other white-ball players were participating in the World Cup, the management and players were all present. I appreciate the management and coaching team. Shanto thinks it’s a luxury to meet all these guys, so I strive to give it my all. Being successful for my nation motivates me,” Rahim remarked.
Additionally pleased with Mushfiqur’s performance was Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto. He applauded the player and said that he has been playing for 15–17 years and has no intention of stopping.

For the past 15 to 17 years, Mushfiqur has performed incredibly well, and he keeps up his intensity while performing without getting tired. In these sweltering conditions, he played pretty well. The captain declared, “I’m not just giving credit to him, but to all fifteen members of our squad.”
