There are claims that significant rainfall is occurring in numerous Gujarati cities, causing the state to resemble a flood. The Vishwamitri River overflowed and the water reached residential areas, causing flooding in low-lying places, especially in Vadodara.
Former cricket player Irfan Pathan had earlier issued a stay-in caution due to the flooding. Noting that the water was getting worse, he urged everyone to take precautions.

The India T20 World Cup team has been announced. Playoffs start on October 3 and include spinner Radha. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led team’s league stage opponents will be Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals.
In light of the recent political unrest, the entire event has been moved from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). India’s spinners should benefit from the UAE’s surfaces, and Radha could end up being a key member of the squad.
