Rachin Ravindra, the newest signing for the Chennai Super Kings, has created a lot of attention lately with his performances. The five-time IPL champion Chennai Super Kings purchased the 24-year-old at the auction in advance of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after he displayed outstanding achievements for New Zealand in the ODI World Cup 2023.
Rachin Ravindra became a fan favorite throughout the World Cup after his incredible run. The young player was one of the tournament’s top run scorers in 2023, with 578 runs scored in 10 matches. After a bidding war between the five-time champions and teams like the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, CSK acquired the 24-year-old for a total of INR 1.8 crore.

The reigning winners are hoping that Rachin Ravindra can maintain his current level of play and make an impression in his maiden season of the prestigious competition.
In the meantime, Ravindra is seen signing autographs for CSK supporters following a practice session in New Zealand in a video that has gone viral on social media.
Chasing their sixth IPL championship, Chennai Super Kings
During the IPL auction, CSK was quite active and added a number of Black Caps players to their team. The team already had ace hitter Devon Conway in their lineup, but they added players like Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra.
After defeating the Gujarat Titans in the 2023 summit match to tie the Mumbai Indians’ five titles, MS Dhoni-led Chennai became the joint most successful team in IPL history. With so many elite players at their disposal, CSK will do all in their power to win the 17th edition of the IPL, and they intend to do so by any means necessary.
