The festivities that have been going on in Virat Kohli home for the past couple of days continue today. The legendary cricketer and his wife are currently celebrating their daughter Vamika’s second birthday after he scored a historic hundred in his 45th one-day international match against Sri Lanka.
The famous batsman from India shared a sweet photo of his daughter Vamika on Instagram with the comment, “My heartbeat is 2.”
On Instagram and other social media sites, followers have shown a great deal of love and appreciation for the picture. Vamika could not get to spend a lot of time with her dad on this particular occasion because Virat is required to be away for cricketing responsibilities.
On the occasion of her daughter’s second birthday, Vamika’s mother, Anushka Sharma, also penned a sweet statement to share with family and friends. Anushka stated in the caption of a video she shared on her social media accounts, “Two years ago my heart expanded wide open.”
As for the first one-day international that India played against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, Virat Kohli notched his 45th ODI hundred with a score of 113 off of 87 balls, which helped India win by 67 runs.
After a dry spell of nearly three years, the 34-year-old hitter had struck an identical 113 against Bangladesh in his final ODI of 2022. He now has 73 international hundreds, with the last three coming in a span of four months after a drought of nearly three years.
“In my situation, I was in denial, and irritation was beginning to set in. In my personal area, I was acting quite grumpy and very short-tempered. It was not fair to my close family and friends, and it is not fair to the people who support you. My wife, Anushka Sharma, was one of those people.
As a result, I needed to accept responsibility and try to put events into proper perspective “In an interview for bcci.tv, Virat Kohli shared his thoughts with his teammate Suryakumar Yadav.
