PTV Sports, the Pakistan Cricket Board‘s official broadcast partner, has abruptly stopped airing live coverage of the ongoing Australia vs. Pakistan Test series, which will cause an unanticipated inconvenience for cricket aficionados in Pakistan.
The Information and Broadcasting Ministry issued a directive, which prompted the channel to take an extraordinary step and emphasize a “zero tolerance” policy against surrogate betting organizations.
“Pakistan Television (PTV), adhering to the Government of Pakistan’s policy, ‘Zero tolerance for the surrogate companies’ has discontinued airing the second Test match from Melbourne being played from December 26th, 2023, in lieu of the Pakistan vs. Australia Cricket Series 2023-24,” PTV said in a statement on ‘X’.
