For a multi-format series against Bangladesh, Team India is prepared. The Bangla Tigers have been invited by the hosts to play two Test matches, with the first match taking place in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium on September 19.
It is noteworthy that India will play 10 Test matches over the course of the next four months. With such a demanding schedule, Ravichandran Ashwin will be making his India debut for the first time since March 2024. With 26 wickets in five Test matches during the five-game series against England earlier this year, Ashwin was his team’s top wicket-taker.

Test match sentiments are on the way in Chennai. Correct? Prithi shared a picture on her Instagram tale. In his final game at his home field, the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Ashwin performed admirably against England in 2021.
Bangladesh aims to cause yet another shock
In reference to the upcoming Test matches between Bangladesh and India, the visiting team is presently ranked fourth in the World Test Championship (WTC) rankings. The team just won a two-game Test series against Pakistan at their own stadium. The huge victory undoubtedly gave them more confidence, and they’ll be hoping to do well against India as well.
Team India, on the other hand, is content with their position atop the WTC rankings. India has played nine Test matches, winning six, losing two, and drawing one. With 74 points, the team is guaranteed a spot in the WTC final the following year. They will be looking to begin the Test season on a positive note by defeating Bangladesh.

They will take care not to undervalue Bangladesh, though, particularly in light of the team’s most recent victory over Pakistan. India would want to do well against Bangladesh and will want to be at their best.
